Social IDPs

External identity providers (IDP), including social IDPs, can connect any external IDP, such as a social IDP or an Electronic Identity (eID).

The connection to the external IDP is supported based on the OpenID Connect and SAML industry standards.

The data that is collected from the external IDP is configurable. This data can be used for profile creation or update, and in the assertion or token.
