Here, we have compiled a list of questions and their respective answers that we have received from our users. These questions are intended to help users better understand SAS PCE and to provide clarity on any confusion or uncertainties they may have.
Q: Can I use the active directory password to log into SAS PCE?
A: Local and domain admin can log in with active directory credentials on the SAS console only. Operators can log in but they need to token password.
Q: Can I still have other tokens if I am already using active directory password?
A: Yes. Tokens can be provisioned based on availability.
Q: Is Sync Agent the only way to sync users to SAS PCE?
A: No. You can also sync users through Direct LDAP.
Q: What sort of OTP delivery mechanisms SAS PCE support?
A: SAS PCE supports SMS, Email, Voice, SMS+Email OTP delivery methods.
Q: Is a newly created account automatically activated?
A: Yes, if it is a Service Provider account.
Q: Will a newly created role be automatically applied to all the existing Operators?
A: No. The role should be manually applied to all the existing Operators.
Q: What to specify in User ID field when logging into the Self-Service portal?
A: Users and Operators need to enter their User ID on Self-Service portal. Operators need to enter email ID if they are logging into the SAS console.
