Quorum Policies

The Purpose of Quorum

Quorum takes the form of "MofN authentication", "Dual Custody", "Multi Credential", etc. The purpose is to reduce the risk of internal misuse/fraud in a system by making it impossible for one person to act alone. A malicious party must either find others to collude with them or be able to compromise multiple credentials.

To Request Quorum

1. HSM Login Quorum Request

   • Pick HSM Login from the Operation drop-down
   • Allowed between choices
   • Start date and time, End date and time
   • No time limit (i.e. remain active)

2. Delete Service

   • Navigate to Service -> Delete Service (This operation is auto-completable once a Quorum is achieved)
   • User will attempt to do it via UI when notified of Quorum being achieved
   • Allowed between choices
   • Start date and time, End date and time
   • No time limit (i.e. remain active)
