Service Provider Administrators
Service provider administrators manage a Data Protection on Demand platform service provider tenant and are responsible for distributing tenants and administering other tenant users. The service provider administrator's primary role is to distribute and manage Subscriber Tenants. Service provider administrators facilitate Service Provider Tenants, essentially a marketplace, which allows subscriber tenants to purchase remote HSM applications and distribute them to consumers. Service provider administrators can view a list of their tenants' service subscriptions by selecting the Tenant Name in the Tenant Details Table and then navigating to the Subscriptions tab.
Alternatively, the service provider administrator can take on an operator type role. In this role, the service provider administrator distributes additional tiers of sub-service provider tenants, essentially functioning as a marketplace operator allowing trusted sub-service providers to purchase, administer and distribute their own tenant marketplace.
Note
Thales restricts the hierarchy to three service provider tenants.
Service provider administrators cannot perform tenant administrator or application owner operations.
