Upgrading IDPV Windows Client
To upgrade from v2.3 to the latest version, you need to run the latest installer from the delivery package. There is no need to uninstall the previous version client.
During IDPV Client Upgrade, the IDPV Server and Tenant ID fields are auto-populated with the previous values entered during the IDPV Client installation. Also, the initial setting for connect-on-behalf is restored. Credential Provider, Proxy settings, and custom path for installed IDPV Client are currently not restored, make sure to set these values during IDPV Client upgrade.
Caution
-
If you are upgrading IDPV Client from a 32-bit version to v2.10.0 (64-bit), it is strongly recommended to uninstall the existing 32-bit client before installing the new version. Failure to do so may result in the Offline Bundle feature not functioning properly.
-
Upgrading from v2.6 to v2.8 and from v2.7 to v2.8 is now supported. However, after upgrading from v2.6 to v2.8, the existing offline bundles get deleted. So, the user needs to download the offline bundle again.
-
After the IDPV Client upgrade from v2.3 to v2.4, the offline bundles get deleted. Downgrade from v2.4 to 2.3 is not supported.
