Prerequisites for Installing IDPV Client
This section provides the installation files and prerequisites required to install the IDPV Client for Windows.
It is recommended to install IDPV client before installing SafeNet Authentication Client (SAC Middleware).
Installation Files
The provided software package includes files for installing SafeNet IDPrime Virtual Windows Client. Local administrator rights are required to install or uninstall IDPV. The installation and documentation files provided are:

Binary Files
After SafeNet IDPrime Virtual installation, all binary data (compiled programs, images, media, and compressed files) is saved at the default location:

Typical Installation

| IDPrimeVirtualSysTray.exe | SafeNet IDPrime Virtual Tray application installed by IDPrime installer. This executable file communicates with STA and accesses the user JWT ticket, reads client registry settings and passes all relevant information to IDPrime Virtual Client Service. |
| VxTContextManager.dll | A shared library used by IDPrime Virtual Client Service encapsulating the MDLibC library and handles all Client side cryptographic operations. |
| vreadersmc.dll | Thales Virtual PSCS driver installed by IDPrime Virtual installer (.msi). This is a pipeline that transfers APDU commands from the Middleware (SAC) to IDPrime Virtual. |
| SACLogNET.dll | A shared library used by the IDPrime Virtual Client C# layer to write logs. Logging is enabled via the registry keys. |

Remote Desktop Access (RDP) Installation
The Remote Desktop Access (RDP) installation binary data includes the data specified under the Typical Installation mode mentioned above and the binary data provided below.

This service transfers application protocol data unit (APDU) commands from the Middleware (SAC) to IDPrime Virtual in case of Remote Desktop access. |
Prequisites
Minimum system requirement
- Windows 11 23H2
- Windows 10 (2004 or higher).

Trusted Platform Module (TPM 2.0) for Offline Mode.

Install either of the following:

SafeNet Authentication Client (SAC) 10.8 R8 GA

SafeNet Minidriver 10.8 R8 Post GA (valid for Windows only)

If using self-signed certificate on the server. Refer to Using a self-signed certificate. Also, install the self-signed certificate on the machine where the IDPV client is installed. If using a certificate issued by an established CA Server, then verify CAs and intermediate CAs already present in the certificate store. Refer to Using a certificate issued by an established CA Server.

Open the swagger definition, to view the certificate.
- Click on the Details tab, then click on Export button to download the certificate on your machine.

After clicking on the Export tab, the below window opens.
Click on the Install certificate button and install the certificate in the Trusted Root Certification Authority location of your local machine as shown below:
You might need admin rights on the local machine to install the certificate.
It is recommended to ensure that the SafeNet IDPrime Virtual Client is installed on a secured and protected environment, cleaned from malware and viruses. This ensures your privacy is protected.
