Connecting IDPV Smart Card to the Server

Perform the following steps to connect the virtual smart card to the SafeNet IDPrime Virtual Server for Linux:

  1. Open the SafeNet IDPrime Virtual Client application: /usr/bin/idpv_systray The SafeNet IDPrime Virtual Client tray icon appears at the systray menu: Default icon
  2. Click icon Default icon. The SafeNet IDPrime Virtual Client user tray menu is displayed. Default icon
  3. Follow the steps as in step 5 and step 6 of Connecting IDPV Smart Card to the Server. A notification message confirms that your virtual smart card is connected

    The SafeNet IDPrime Virtual Client tray icon changes to Default icon allowing the user to insert and remove its virtual cards.
