Credential management

This feature is available only for FIDO 2.1 and later devices.

You can view all credentials registered on a FIDO device and delete any credentials that are no longer needed.

The FIDO device enables authentication for different service providers by registering with them. All registration details, including the credentials used and the service providers name, are stored in the device. When the device reaches its data storage capacity limit, it prevents further registrations.

Some accounts may not be displayed due to service providers settings. This occurs when the 'Discoverable Credential' setting is set to 'Discouraged' instead of 'Required' or 'Preferred'.

View credentials

To view credentials:

1. Open SafeNet FIDO Key Manager.

2. Select Manage credentials.

   

3. Enter the user PIN.

   

   The Manage Credentials screen is displayed.

   

4. Use the search field to find matching text in the Service, User name, and Credential ID columns.

Delete a credential

To delete a credential:

1. Open SafeNet FIDO Key Manager.

2. Select Manage credentials.

   

3. Select Delete on the Manage Credentials screen.

   

   You may be asked to enter the user PIN if not authenticated before.

4. A confirmation pop-up is displayed, click Delete.

   

   A success message is displayed.
