Credential Management
The FIDO key enables authentication for different websites by registering it with each specific site. All registration details, including the credentials used and the website name, are stored in the FIDO key. Each FIDO key has a limit on the amount of credential-related data it can store. If this limit is exceeded, the FIDO key will prevent further registrations.
The credential management feature allows users to see all the credentials registered on a specific FIDO key. It also provides the option to delete any credentials that are no longer needed or unused.
This feature is only available with FIDO 2.1 key or higher.
If the FIDO Key supports this feature, the Manage Credentials button is visible as shown below.
- Clicking the Manage Credentials button will trigger a prompt for your PIN. If you're utilizing an NFC key, you'll need to tap it again to allow the application to load the credentials.
- Once the credentials are loaded, the app will show a list of relying parties, which are the websites associated with the credentials.
- Selecting a relying party will show a list of the credentials linked to that specific relying party.
- Clicking on a credential will open the credential details screen. Here, the you can delete the credential by clicking on Delete Credential button which requires an addition tap for NFC key.
