Secure Start GuardPoints
Note
The Secure Start feature is supported on Windows clients.
Secure Start offers a new type of GuardPoint that offers data protection for applications that start earlier in the boot sequence than VMD (CTE Agent daemon). For example, an AD (Active Directory) or a SQL Server service starts very early. A Secure Start GuardPoint starts before the AD and SQL services, and can, therefore, encrypt those services.
For more information on protecting such applications using Secure Start, refer to the CTE Agent for Windows Advanced Configuration and Integration Guide. To determine whether other applications qualify for Secure Start, contact Thales Customer Support.
