Disabling GuardPoints
If you have protected a GuardPath with a GuardPoint, and you want to protect the path with a different policy, then you need to remove or disable the existing GuardPoint first.
When a GuardPoint is disabled, the client stops enforcing protection on the GuardPoint. However, references to the GuardPoint exist in the CipherTrust Manager configuration.
To disable a GuardPoint:
Open the Transparent Encryption application.
Select the client or client group from which you want to disable the GuardPoint.
Click a client under the Client Name column (Clients > Clients).
Click a client group under the Client Group Name column (Clients > Client Groups).
On the GuardPoints tab, select the GuardPoint to be disabled.
Click the overflow icon () corresponding to the desired GuardPoint, and click Disable.
The GuardPoint status becomes Disabled
