Troubleshooting
This section describes the how to troubleshoot the issue that you may encounter while integrating CipherTrust KMS with Microsoft Strong Name.
Installation Issues
Run SafenetProtectAppCSPInstaller.exe from:
C:\Program Files\SafenetProtectAppCSP\SafenetProtectAppCSPInstaller.exe
C:\Program Files\SafenetProtectAppCSP\win32\SafenetProtectAppCSPInstaller.exe
Update the registry:
Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SafeNet\IcapiSafenetCsp
.Update the following values:
icapiPropertiesFile
: Path to the property file of ICAPI.LogFile
: Log file for Microsoft CSP ProviderLogLevel
: Log level for Microsoft CSP Provider (DEBUG, ERROR, INFO, WARNING)
Similarly, update the above values at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\wow6432node\SafeNet\IcapiSafenetCsp
