Verifying the Integration
You can verify the integration in the following two ways:
Check CSP used in AD RMS
Restart the system and log on as
<username>
. Further, click Server ManagerTools
Active Directory Rights Management Services to open the Active Directory Rights Management Services console.
After successful installation, you can view the SafeNetProtectApp enhanced RSA and AES provider for Microsoft Windows under:
Trust Policies > Trusted Publishing Domains
Security Policies > Cluster Key Password
Rights management with a Microsoft Office document
To verify the integration using Microsoft Office, perform the following steps:
Log on as
<username>
on RMS Client machine.Add the AD RMS cluster URL to the Local Intranet security zone for all the users who will be using the rights-protected content.
In the Internet Options, add the following to the list of trusted sites:
http://<fully qualified domain name that you specified while configuring AD RMS>
To restrict permissions on a Microsoft Word document
Open a Microsoft Office document and restrict permission. In this example,
james@rms.local
is providedRead
permission andpeter@rms.local
is providedChange
permission.Save this file in a shared folder on AD RMS Server.
Verify the permissions of the document, log on as
james
andpeter
user one by one, and observe the correct application of the rights as configured.
