Installing/Uninstalling Software
For ProtectFile to CTE or CTE-U migration, follow these steps for installation.
-
Installation of CTE on a system with ProtectFile installed.
-
Special attention to registration process because name of Client should be same during migration otherwise client will not map properly and you will lose migrated policy mapping

-
Register the client created by PFMigrate:
/opt/vormetric/DataSecurityExpert/agent/vmd/bin/register_host
-
GuardPoint migrated are ready to be enabled and used without any additional migration steps.
-
The new CTE-U v10.x has the capability to read the ProtectFile protected files.
