CTE QoS Throttling and Rekey Scheduling

DFS(R) servers use a local database file for organizing and replicating file deltas. They employ many consistency checks, especially while processing large volumes of file changes. Furthermore, LDT requires a lot of system resources when encrypting target data for the first time. So consider throttling the encryption process for optimal DFS(R) performance. Best practice is to start low and increase steadily as the DFS staging areas shrink (fewer deltas).

The LDT Quality of Service can be controlled by either:

• Rekey Rate in MB/S

• Percentage of CPU usage

• Time schedule
