Configuring Dell EMC Unity Storage

This section includes the configuration steps for Dell EMC Unity storage.

1. From the Dell EMC Unity UI, go to Settings.

2. Under External Key Management, click Configure.

   

3. In the KMIP Configuration window, specify the required details and click Manage Certificates.

   Note

   Under IP Addresses of the KMIP Server Cluster, you can add one or more than one (cluster) CipherTrust Manager instance.

4. In the Certificate Management window, click Add button and import the client certificate and the internal root CA of the CipherTrust Manager.

5. In the Settings window, click Enable KMIP.

   

After the successful completion of the above steps, Dell EMC Unity:

• Creates keys on the CipherTrust Manager.

• Encrypts drives
