Resolved Issues
-
AGT-46989: Compressed files can obtain LDT metadata attributes; encryption key info, file corruption and system crashes occur
This issue is only observed when CTE is using the
vmlfs
driver. The issue has been fixed. LDT no longer has dependencies on compressed files. -
AGT-47270 [CS1488142]: System hanging after Scheduler Executes
Issue was caused by a synchronization issue on CTE. The CTE threads were waiting for certain locks to be released. This system hung because another APC level task interrupted the CTE thread progress. This has been fixed.
-
AGT-50702 [CS108453]: Physical BareMetal Server reboots with 25-30 minute delay after changing the default driver to VMLFS
Issue was caused by secfsd availability. Solution is that CTE no longer delays access to the secfsd service while a filter is opening a directory in a GuardPoint during the early boot stage. This removes the latency experienced during boot time.
-
AGT-50851 [CS1525602]: VSS Snapshots cause OS to hang on Windows Server OS protected by CTE 7.5.0.78
Issue was caused by a deadlock with the VMLFS driver which occurred because there were two shadow copy volumes with identical names. The solution is to use unique names for shadow copies.
-
AGT-54893 [CS1536235]: DSM servers crash intermittently when failover on Windows Clustered Servers (With LDT) occurs
Issue occurred when user enabled deduplication. CTE does not support deduplication.
-
AGT-55127 | AGT-55047: After CSV cluster nodes switch CTE driver from vmfiltr to vmlfs, MS CSV cluster disk status displays incorrect indirect state
The issue occurred after CTE agent installed MS Cluster Shared Volumes and it altered the redirect access State in the LFS driver. The solution was to update the agent code and add CTE drivers to the Shared Volume Compatible Filters group for a Cluster.
Warning
After running an [install | upgrade | switch driver | uninstall] on all nodes in a cluster, you must reboot the nodes in succession. (Wait for each node to reboot entirely before rebooting the next node).
Known Issues
-
AGT-36370: The vorvmd.log reports an error message when guarding LDT over CIFS GuardPoint
CTE agent needs CIFS credentials to apply a GuardPoint on a CIFS share. This error message displays when CTE agent is in the process of authenticate the user. This error can be safely ignored.
-
AGT-39189: CTE failed to unguard after changing to incorrect CIFS credentials
If a user has a CIFS guarded path, and tries to access it with invalid credentials, the unguard request fails. After this, if the user switches to valid credentials, the unguard request still fails.
Work-around
To successfully guard/unguard a CIFS path, use valid credentials.
-
AGT-48196: Microsoft DPM reports recovery creation failed when creating a recovery point after synchronizing data
Work-around
Perform a complete backup. Do not perform an incremental backup. The incremental backup does not work properly with LDT.
-
AGT-48580: RWP: gzip files in a directory can be mistakenly identified as ransomware
Intermittently, zip or unzip activity that occurs within a ransomware GuardPoint is identified as ransomware.
Work-around
Add the zip/gzip/winzip programs to the Ransomware Protection process exemption list in the CipherTrust Manager client profile.
