Installing and Deploying CTP
This chapter describes how to install and configure the CipherTrust Teradata Protection on your Teradata host.
Prerequisites
- A hardware key manager, for example, the CipherTrust Manager (CM). 
- Access to the key manager from all Teradata nodes. 
- For each node, you need: - Root password to Teradata nodes. 
- The IP address or FQDN of the node. 
- Installation executable file for CipherTrust Teradata Protection version 6.6.0. For example: - ctp16.10-6.6.0-10-sles12sp3-x86_64.bin.
 - This installs the following: - CipherTrust Teradata Protection, including the CipherTrust Key Agent software. 
- User Defined Functions (UDFs). 
- CipherTrust Local Cryptoserver Daemon. 
- Sample installation script - install_udfs.bteq.sample.
- Sample UDF profile configuration file - profiles.conf.sample.
- Sample Cryptoserver configuration file - vormetric_local_crypto_server.conf.sample.
- Mask configuration file - mask.conf.sample.
- ICAPI configuration files: - icapi.confand- CADP_CAPI.properties.
- Uninstallation script - vptd_uninstall.
