Access a Partition from a Client

Once a Network Trust Link (NTL) is established, the Client must authenticate to its HSM Partition by providing the Luna SA with the HSM Partition Password.

For a Luna SA with Trusted Path Authentication(the HSM Partition Password is a unique 16-digit code generated during the creation of an HSM Partition) , the HSM Partition must be Activated (optionally autoActivated) by the Partition Owner (the holder of the black PED Key for that Partition). Then, once the HSM Partition Password is entered, the Client is authenticated to its HSM Partition on the Luna SA and can access the contents (keys, digital certificates etc.) of the HSM Partition and perform operations with them.
