Limitations
The following items reflect design or platform limitations that apply across CCC, not version-specific issues.
STC Support No Longer Available
CCC no longer supports STC for Luna Network HSM devices. On firmware 7.7.0 and above, new STC-based partitions cannot be created. CCC can still monitor existing STC services but cannot configure or manage them.
Database Encryption
CCC does not support full-disk encryption on PostgreSQL. Customers must ensure their database server is deployed in a secure environment with network protections and firewall controls, and aligned with organizational security requirements.
Freemium Availability
The Freemium virtual image is not included in CCC 4.5. However, the Freemium license file remains fully supported and is bundled with the product. Administrators can switch to a premium license at any time using the Update License option.
HSM Appliance Upgrade Limitations
The following table outlines the limitations and supported upgrade paths when upgrading an HSM appliance using CCC. These limitations are inherent to the platform and apply across all CCC versions. Where indicated, upgrades must be performed using alternative methods such as LUSH or the HSM REST API rather than CCC.

HSM firmware upgrades are supported through CCC only when a compatible firmware upgrade package is already present on the HSM and the device supports firmware upgrade functionality. In such cases, the upgrade can be initiated from the Device page only. Upgrades via the CCC REST API are not supported.
