CTE Agent Quick Start Guide for Linux and Windows
CTE protects data-at-rest, residing on Direct Attached Storage (DAS), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Networks (SAN) or in the Cloud. This can be a mapped drive or mounted disk, as well as through Universal Naming Convention paths.
CTE secures data with little impact to application performance. It requires no changes to your existing infrastructure and supports separation of duties between data owners, system administrators, and security administrators.
This section describes how to install CTE on Linux and Windows systems using the standard, interactive installation script for Linux and interactive installer for Windows. After successful installation, register that system with CipherTrust Manager and then create your policies, encryption keys, and GuardPoints using the CipherTrust Manager.
