Change password or PIN

If you are using behaviour biometrics to evaluate risk, there are a few points that need to be highlighted. The behavioural biometrics technology is typically used on login pages where a password is entered or a mobile application screen where the PIN is entered.

Behavioural biometrics monitors the behaviour of a user, such as the way he or she enters a password or PIN. This monitoring is indirectly dependent on the value of the knowledge factor. This means that if an end user changes his or her password, or it has been reset, the user’s profile needs to be reset so that the behavioural biometrics technology can monitor the behaviour of the user entering this new password.

The Reset_Fraud_Profile API allows the bank to tell IdCloud that the password or PIN has changed. It does not reset the profile itself. That is done externally.
