For Luna SA, HA is implemented by a client computer that creates and monitors and administers an HA group of two or more Luna appliances. The Luna appliances and their HSMs are unaware that they are part of an HA group. Client operations see and interact with the virtual HA slot, ignoring the underlying physical HSM partitions, which are kept synchronized for redundancy and performance.
