Safety and Notices

 

This SafeNet product is an electrical device. To avoid possibility of electrical shock, do not operate in a wet environment. If flooding occurs, remove power from the unit before touching it. Other than specifically indicated “hot-swap” items, no part of this product should be opened while it is operating. If any panel or compartment is opened, while power is applied to the unit, do not insert body parts or metallic objects. If components are not specifically indicated for self-service, in the customer product documentation, then no other parts are user-serviceable.

 

Power supply notice

The appliance is suitable for IT power systems. Connect each power supply to a separate power source for fail-over support.

 

WARNING: The power supply cord is used as the main disconnect device. Ensure that the socket-outlet is located/installed near the equipment and is easily accessible.

 

WARNING: This product relies on the building's installation for short-circuit (over-current) protection. Ensure that a fuse or circuit breaker no larger than 120 VAC, 15A U.S. (240 VAC, 10A international) is used on the phase conductors (all current-carrying conductors).

 

Dual power supply notice

 

WARNING: This unit has more than one power supply connection; all connections must be removed to remove all power from the unit.

 

Lithium battery notice for service personnel

 

This product contains lithium batteries.

 

The internal Hardware Security Module battery is not field-serviceable.

SafeNet HSM products that are taken out of service should not be discarded with ordinary waste. Follow the WEEE or other directives that apply in your country.
