Verify the configuration

This section assumes that you have finished configuring your Luna system including setting up an NTL and registering at least one Client with an HSM Partition. Now, you would like to demonstrate that it all works. This page describes some simple testing that you can perform, if you are not ready to use your application program to access the Luna appliance's HSM Partition. For example, you can use the multitoken demonstration tool to perform cryptographic operations on the Luna HSM to verify that everything has been properly set up.

As well, you can use the supplied Certificate Management Utility (CMU). Refer to the Reference section of this Help  for a description of CMU.

But, FIRST...

If you are using a Luna HSM with Password Authentication, skip down the page to "Multitoken".

If you are using a Luna HSM with Trusted Path Authentication, you should Activate or AutoActivate your HSM Partition and then return to this page.

Certificate Management Utility (CMU)

From a Client, you can use the CMU command-line utility to view and manage cryptographic objects on the Luna SA.

CMU is described in the Reference section of this Help.

For information about using Client applications in general with the Luna HSM, go to the next page.
