Administration
The pdbctl utility can be used as a standalone command line utility or as a migration server. When the pdbctl is used as a command line utility, it performs data migrations for the CDP clients using the Key Manager. In remote mode, data migration is done on Key Manager and in local mode, the utility performs the data migration.
When the pdbctl utility is used as a migration server, the CipherTrust Manager calls it during the encryption/decryption operation.
