Uninstall CDP
Important Notes
Uninstallation must be performed by users from the sysadmin role.
During an uninstall, the installer drops or deletes all of the following items:
Registry entries created by the installer
Stored procedures
User defined functions
Metadata tables
Installation directory
Steps
Before uninstalling CDP, unencrypt all the tables that were previously encrypted.
Open the Control Panel (Start >> Settings >> Control Panel) and double–click Add or Remove Programs.
Select CDP for MS SQL Server
<version> (<instance_name>)
, and click Change or Remove.The InstallShield Wizard launches and walks you through the uninstallation process. The InstallShield Wizard uninstalls CDP only from the instance of SQL Server you select. You must uninstall on each SQL Server instance.
On the Modify, repair, or remove the program screen of the InstallShield Wizard, select Remove and click Next.
A message is prompted on the screen stating Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all its features?. Click Yes to continue uninstallation.
On the Database Connection screen of the InstallShield Wizard, provide the sysadmin user password for the uninstall and click Next.
If the user uninstalling CDP is different from the user that installed it, the system prompts for the following confirmation:
Product was installed with *sa* user. Do you still want to continue with <user>.
Click Yes to continue the uninstallation.When prompted, click Yes to restart the SQL Server service. It might take a few seconds. Click No if you plan to restart the service later.
The installer needs to delete the
libcrypto-3-x64.dll
andlibssl-3-x64.dll
files. By default, the installer searches for these files in theC:\Windows\SysWOW64
directory. On the Setup Status screen of the Installation Wizard:Click Yes to disable the redirection.
Click No to manually delete the files from
C:\Windows\system32
and click OK.
Click Finish to complete the uninstallation.
